NYC Street Performing and meeting ZAZ

The boys had the idea to go to New York City and make a little money by doing some street performing. They investigated the laws of the city, and we decided to do it on the same day as the free Zaz concert in TriBeCa. It was kind of a last minute trip because we thought the concert was tomorrow. I actually managed to drive into the city and eventually we found the right parking garage. I had to go to a specific one because I had a 1/2 price coupon! It worked out beautifully too, because the garage was right across the street from the Barnes and Noble we were going to for the concert. I only made 1 little error with following the GPS on the way there...so at least we got there in an hour.

This is where they set up first. But there was a very noisy ice cream truck parked there with it's engine running.

Kyle enjoyed this little fellow

Here's after we moved to the park entrance. Thought it would attract more people, but it didn't. Hardly anyone paid any attention to them.

Ok, here's where it gets interesting. The concert was to begin at 6pm. But they (the band) walked in right behind us and starting singing their first song at 5:45. They finished that one song, left the stage, and said that was it. We're like, are you kidding? We drove an hour to hear one song? Seriously? wow. The concert was over in 5 mins. I guess that's what you get for free in New York.

The least she could do is pose for 2 pictures, right?

When we left, the band was already getting packed up outside.

When we pulled out of the parking garage onto the street, they pulled in front of us and we followed them down the road a ways.

Then we saw a huge pink limo!!

Then we got stuck in traffic!! Took us 40 minutes to go around 1 block.

5 hours and 45 mins later:
parking $19
dinner 38
plus tolls and gas
money made from performing on New York City street $0

But still we had a great time, lots of laughs...in between me being stressed out, and we got some cool pictures, and made fun memories.
