CHRISTMAS 2022 πŸŽ„

Christmas was different this year.  We had to have 2 separate celebrations which was not as fun as previous Christmases when we did sleepovers, but maybe those days are gone...

A few appetizers

Admiring our Jellybean

My attempt at a Christmas table.

We made 2 types of Curry Chicken; mine, and Darryl's, plus some cheesy sticks.

Some desserts, most were keto

My keto chocolate cake kinda flopped, but it was GOOD!

Watching A Christmas Carol

Hello Winnie

Linnea and Ryan joined us for more of the same food on another night.

We ended up watching Hallmark's Christmas at Graceland.

Baby Winnie πŸ‘ΆπŸ’•πŸ˜

Born on Thanksgiving!
First photos of our little Jellybean! Feeling so blessed that our granddaughter is here! It was wonderful to meet her and hold her!  Looking forward to seeing her grow into the amazing person I know she’ll be!  Lord, please give Kyle and Hilary tons of wisdom, strength, love and patience for this venture of a lifetime.

First snow ❄️ and Thanksgiving

We had a big snow storm. Crazy amount of snow.
We had Ryan and Linnea over for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a fun time even though we missed Kyle and Hilary. They were quite busy bringing their daughter into the world.

Celebrate!

On Saturday we had a multipurpose celebration:  Hilary's birthday, my birthday, Thanksgiving, and baby shower.  It was the only way we could guarantee that we'd get together while Hilary is still feeling pretty good.  Didn't want to take any chances of having it later.  But if everyone is up for it, we'll have a second Thanksgiving dinner.

We had a really fun day.  Dinner, gifts, games, singing, and we watched a Hallmark Christmas movie.

See the resemblance?

Wade's birthday bash

Darryl and I have been more busy than usual.  One night we went to a fundraising Gala.  It was way too loud, and to be honest, the dinner was subpar.  Very disappointing.  Likely, we aren't going to do that again.

Another night we went to Wade's big 75th birthday bash.  That was a lot of fun.  It was good to talk to people I used to go to church with.  Although it still gives me a tinge of sadness.  Here are some pictures of Wade's party.

Weekend with Mom, and the rainbow

Darryl and I wanted to go visit with Mom before the bad weather starts, so we managed to grab this past weekend.  The weather was so warm (70's) it was hard to believe it's the end of October.  We spent a couple of days there, and then Darryl had to get back here for work.  We got back last night.

Rainbow in our backyard this morning.

Pretty fall colors on the way home from WV.

I always look forward to the PURE MICHIGAN sign.  Then I know I'm almost home.

We drove down into some deep fog on the way home.

Lots of fog.

Let's Go Brandon!

This was on our way to WV.

Dinner at Marcella's

Fried Risotto...very good appetizer!

On our way to WV for a weekend with Mom.

We also got to see Scott and Flo and their house renovations.  I was about to take pictures to show the kids but Flo said, "No wait till they come down to see it."  So I ended up not taking any pictures.  I wish I had though because the place looks great.  We had a nice visit.
