Here's a still shot from the filming of Ryan's first music video. So exciting!

Blazing Light!

A few more pics from tonight's filming of Act 2.  It was cool watching them.

The Hillbilly Grill

We took a nice ride to the Hillbilly Grill tonight for supper. It was quite a unique dining experience. We enjoyed porch dining at the picnic table and the rustic decor of the place. It was fun to hang out with Scott and Flo for a while too. Too bad Darryl's meal was terrible.

Dim the Lights. Here we go.

Ryan and Kyle have been staying out late every night working on Ryan's first music video. They are doing it to Blazing Light of God. I've not seen it yet, but I think it will be spectacular! I'm so proud of my boys, how hard they work to make things just right. I give them so much credit for tackling things that they've never done before.  It is also nice that Darryl is out there assisting them.  (more pics to come!)

God, please bless their efforts and give them great success with their many endeavors!

FUN....West Virginia style

We had such a fun day today! Went to some thrift stores and got a bunch of stuff. Went to Allburghers for lunch. Then we had quite an adventure at Jerry's Salvage yard looking for some metal objects for percussion. It was pretty comical actually. We had no idea what to expect when we got there, but the place was enormous. The owner (we assume it was Jerry, anyway) told us to go walk around and see if we found anything. So, there we were are tripping over all this metal entangled heaps of stuff wearing flip-flops (all but Ryan). In the mean time the guy in the claw truck starts picking up this van right while we were standing there in close proximity. It got pretty scary when the van was practically over our heads.  In the 2nd video he was trying to land it on top of a pile of other cars. I was trying to back up away from it but I was tripping over all the metal. hehe... fun and scary. Nice memory, and the boys found a few cool things. I might get a nice stainless frying pan out of the deal!

After dinner we went for our usual 1 1/2 mile walk/run and Ryan jumped up on this rock.
We enjoy the evenings outside by the fire.  Kyle super-enjoyed the toasted marshmallows.  Kyle: "Sometimes all I want is a marshmallow."  hehe yup.

Here are 2 videos I took. Oh yeah, when we were leaving one of the guys was like, "I just have to ask you, WHAT WERE YOU DOING OUT THERE?" We must have looked pretty funny, tripping around, and me taking videos and pictures while this heavy equipment is operating right by us. I think the crew got such a big kick out of it that they let us take all the stuff for free. I don't know for sure if that's why, but maybe.

part 1

part 2

The boys have been busy late at night working outside on a music video for Ryan.  I can't wait to see it!!

It's great to see my Dad so healthy!! We are enjoying our time here with my parents.

whatever you want to call it

Some random shots from the past couple of days.   Some kind man gave us a very generous gift certificate at  The Black Forest Inn in Stanhope, so we went there the other night and had a huge buffet dinner.  An evening very well spent.  We had such a good time together.  Kyle was being silly here with the napkin on his head...

Darryl and the boys were up on the roof replacing our sky lites the other day. It was tremendously nerve wracking! Thankful they were all OK!! Here's a picture Kyle took looking up from the living room.
Here they are on the roof.
We came down to West Virginia today.  I had fun playing with an app called Waze.  Looking forward to a relaxing time here with Mom and Dad before we go back to face more work and stress.

Prodigal Son Song

Ryan sang this song at church on Sunday for Father's Day. It's a song a friend of his from Grace Bible College wrote.

power washing madness

Kyle washed his skin away with the power washer. ewww

We found out it washes holes into pool liners too...

I love New York!

Except for the prices!!!  Everything was ridiculous.

But we had a fabulous time in New York this week. Went out there for the New Music Seminar. Got back yesterday and I'm still recuperating from all the walking Kyle and I did. Here are many (but not all) of the pictures I took.  This is Webster Hall, the largest nightclub in New York.  It's an enormous building.  We got to see a lot of it, but not all.  There is a grand ball room upstairs where there was a crazy show going on one night.  I would post the video from it, but it might be too frightful....

Ryan got to meet tons of people in the industry, and some that he has already worked with or has their products.  Interested to see how the Lord uses this adventure in his future.
St. Mark's Hotel is a historic landmark, and it's also where we stayed.  You couldn't beat the location!  We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. It was really a blast!
Here's my room. I didn't take a picture of the boys bedroom, but it was slightly larger.
My little bathroom.  hehe  The boys had their own as well.
Here we go....
There was no elevator, but lots of steps to our room.  Reminded me of Ocean Grove.
A cube that we walked by a lot.  It was right by the Starbuck's we hung out at to use their internet.
Some of the light poles were decorated with nice tile work.  It was very creative.
One of the music sessions....we stayed the first night and listened in to some of it.
Now here's a guy that just looked like he had to be somebody famous because everyone was lined up taking his picture.  So I took one too!
One of the crazy Vintage stores we went in.  Their prices were outrageous...didn't buy anything.
A really cool mural.  We saw several.
Trying on some funky glasses.  Did not buy them.
People love to personalize their vans... hehe
This is a view out my window looking down at the street. Ryan and Kyle are standing there at the cross walk on their way back to our room.  Can't really tell I guess because I took it through the screen.
Exhausted from walking, Kyle is sprawled across my bed.  Ryan is on the phone with Darryl.
My first time trying Black Chocolate.  Kyle had White.  It was GOOD!
He climbed up the side of a building!
Several of the poles had these hand cuff things on them... it looked very cool!! But the next day some people with a bucket truck came and cut them all off.
Another cool mural.
This was a very creepy store!!!
I hate clowns!!
Sitting on a brain?  haha
Kyle's red Tardis....
ewwww
One of many parks...one of them had free wifi.
Lots of these sculptures around town.
Lots and lots of amazing parks for the children.  My kids never had it so good!! Growing up in NY looks wonderful.
Out door farmers market.  I don't have one around me in the Garden State!
Cool building...
Restaurant we liked!
hehe... yeah
This is the High Line, a very long and definitely cool walkway built over the city on the old railroad tracks.  A lot going on up there.  Food, music, artists, people have lunch, exercising... very cool indeed to be up over the road.

These folks are looking down at the street below.  There is a plexy-glass window.
A view of the Hudson River from the High Line.
He seems a bit angry, huh?
A nice make shift 911 memorial made from painted tiles.

A street preacher...."I can't get no....satisfaction"
Kyle is setting up his camera to record another Rethinkyoyo tutorial.
Here we go, another day of walking the city.
We loved Chelsea Market.  That is the home of Food Network.  We got to see the places where the TV celebs do their shopping.
A big fountain into a big hole...
Kyle entertaining the bathroom line.
Getting a chocolate crepe.
which we split

Inside the market.

Outside the market.
cool buildings
Rapunzels' tower.
Behind a church.

Something being filmed in John's Restaurant where we were going for dinner but couldn't get in.
