Father's day videos

Here is a video from Ryan leading worship at Grace on Father's Day. All I can say is, it's a good thing I wasn't there because I would've had a fit. As usual the kids were talking and fooling around the whole time that Ryan was up front. It's so disrespectful!

Ryan decided to sing Carry Your Love instead of the silly one I suggested. Here is that video.

I guess the only thing I need now is a video of the boys washing our cars!

Celebrating Father's Day

Father's Day, Birthdays, and Christmas are all very tough in this household. Why? Well, my husband is not the easiest person to buy a gift for.

1. he has everything he needs
2. if he wants something else he goes out and buys it
3. whenever I buy stuff for him he returns it


So every time a "holiday" rolls around, me and the boys panic and get stressed out as to what to do for good old Dad. On Saturday I made him a nice breakfast (not breakfast in bed). On Sunday we had ribeye steak and dessert. I tried to do other special things for him as well.

Kyle didn't know what to do so I suggested he make a card, and that would give him practice with his graphic skills on the computer. I thought he would write a nice sentiment inside to express his honor and thankfulness to Darryl. I guess Kyle had a different idea. He made a picture of a taco, and the inside said,
"Happy Father's Day. You Rock Yo!" Adorable!
I was just as pathetic. I asked Darryl what he wanted. He told me. I bought it. Simple. We should just do it that way all the time from now on. Save him the trouble of returning everything. He wanted a portable air compressor. Gee, why didn't I think of that?

Ryan is going to sing something for Darryl later. I have no idea what or when, but I suggested I Want to be a Clone. Well, regardless of that, the boys are going to be washing both of our cars for Mother's Day and Father's Day because they did a terrible job on my car when they did it. Now they will have to do the inside as well because my car is a mess.

Great Adventure!

Went down to Great Adventure with youth group from Preakness. Went on some rides, got really wet on the Congo Rapids. Got tired, got blisters...got to see Toby Mac in concert. We had a super fun time.

Dinner with Bonnie, David, Doug and Lynne

Had a wonderful time at dinner the other night. Nice to see a couple of my siblings after a few years. It was also great to finally meet Lynne. Hope you guys all had a good time!

Ryan's intensive music workshop

Ryan and Darryl just got home from Nashville where they attended a Tom Jackson "Intensive" Workshop. Ryan had a fantastic time there and learned a lot. Tom was great to work with and absolutely loved "Blazing Light of God"!

While they were there, they met Brett Manning from Singing Success, which was really thrilling for Ryan because he has done the Singing Success Program... and because last time we were in Nashville he tried to get a lesson with Brett. Funny thing is, Brett didn't have an open slot last time. He did this time, but Ryan couldn't do it because he had to fly home today.He also met up with Jesse Nemitz (in the middle), another singing/voice teacher that Ryan once had the privelege of getting a lesson from. Ryan also belongs to Jesse's singing forum. Now Jesse is an associate of Brett Manning's at Singing Success. It was so awesome that Ryan got to meet these really big guys in the music business. Can't wait to see where this all leads.
