Little green things...

I tried growing lots of different things over the winter. I thought I'd have peas, beans, carrots, lettuce, radishes, tomatoes, and potatoes.  It was pretty much all a failure.  I got these green potatoes which are inedible.  I threw them outside in the garden to see if they'll grow out there.  So disappointing that nothing grew.

I decided to try harvesting dandelion leaves from the yard.  I got this bowlful.  Well, it's something to eat; that's the important thing.

A Mexican Easter dinner...

The kids came over for Easter Dinner.  Instead of going traditional, I did a Mexican themed dinner and made Mexican lasagna...along with Margaritas, chips, salsa, queso, etc.  It was super fun.

They fell asleep during our photo show from Memphis...

Ryan showed us a cool guitar learning game.

Darryl with his favorite things.

Kyle did well with the guitar game thing.
I hope I can try it next time.

We had some fun desserts that I did not make.  Thanks, Costco!

On Sunday (yesterday) Darryl and I went to Ryan's church.  I absolutely loved the music.  So many of the songs were songs that Ryan and I have sung together before.  It almost made me cry thinking about how much I miss singing with him.  I keep asking God what to do about that, but I don't have an answer yet.

Back home again...to Pure Michigan

Made it home safely.  Glad to be back!

...ten feet off of Beale

We got a good tip to go to Beale Street.  It's a little like Nashville, only in miniature.  It was pretty cool.  We were glad we went.

It's ok.  I've had my shots.

B.B. King's Blues Club

they had a live band

Shrimp and grits

The same person who suggested Beale street also recommended B.B. King's for supper.  It was definitely an experience not soon forgotten.  The music was loud, the food good... glad we went!

I will try to post a video later.

The Recital at the Guest House at Graceland

The whole reason for our going to Memphis was to accompany Ryan to the recitals of his students and for the staff of the Academy to perform.  So, here are some pictures from that night.  Ryan sang one of his songs.  YouTube is below.

Here's the video of Ryan's song.

Down to Mississippi

They had these really funky, broken down exercise things all along the pond.
Would be pretty cool if they actually worked.

We were so close to the Mississippi border that we decided to take a trip down there.  We stopped at a really authentic wing place for lunch and then hung out at a park and soaked up the sun...which was much needed!  It felt good!
