Progress has been exceptionally slow because of all the repair work that needed to be done, but they are getting there. Just had no idea the house was in such bad shape. So much rotted wood. We haven't even started the trim work yet. No idea yet how long this project will take.
The silly and serious moments. The things we would forget if not for pictures.

Unknown and Misunderstood
Ryan shared with us his newest song last night. He just completed it and it's awesome!
Unknown and Misunderstood
by Ryan Vegh
Verse 1:
I wish I could tell you
Just how much I love you
I wish I could show you
Just how much I care
But I’m just so weak
And you wouldn’t believe me
I guess my love will ever be unknown
Chorus:
Unknown and misunderstood
Why does it have to be this way?
Why can’t we all be who we really are
And freely express what’s in our hearts?
Yet the saddest part…
I guess our love will ever be unknown
Verse 2:
Well I woke up this morning
And I saw the sunrise
I woke up this morning
And I saw your face
You smiled at me
But I wouldn’t believe it
I guess your love will ever be unknown
(Chorus)
Verse 3:
God wanted to tell us
Just how much He loves us
He wanted to show us
Just how much He cares
So He died on a tree
But we wouldn’t believe Him
And yet, His love lives on
Alt. Chorus:
Unknown and misunderstood
It doesn’t have to be this way
We can all be who we really are
And freely express what’s in our hearts
And the greatest part…
Some day, our love will be known

paint job
I think whatever color we go with it'll be better than the current color. I'm so looking forward to working hard, sweating, painting...
Blazing Light of God
Here is a video of Ryan singing Blazing Light of God when he was on the missions trip in Sullivan. It sounds like such a creepy song, but the bottom line is that God's goodness breaks the power of wickedness. Awesome job, Ryan!

Long Beach Island
Had an awesome time down the shore today. We were on our way to Beach Haven but somehow ended up at Surf City, Long Beach Island. We didn't know it until we left and started looking for Ryan. He is down there on another church trip. We finally did find him like 45 minutes later. That is when we discovered we were in the wrong town. That's what happens when we rely on GPS!! The beach was practically empty when we got there but by the time we left it was getting pretty crowded. Although it wasn't ridiculous. The water was perfect! I could have stayed there all day, but we wanted to go visit with Ryan. Kyle in his usual way, made us laugh with this smiley face in the sand.

our new addition
Here is the newest addition to our family. Darryl bought it so we could use the bucket to paint the high places on our house. It should be exciting! I won't even tell you how Darryl got it home...in case any cops read this.
Now I just have to pick a color since our old color is horrible. Can't wait to see a change!

NJ State Fair
We met Darryl at Picatinny and saw this Hazmat Truck and a fire truck screaming out of there with lights and sirens going. I wonder what they were carrying. Is was really hot at the fair! We (mostly me) were very disappointed because we (mostly me) wanted to go on ALLLL the rides! But we found out that the rides all cost extra, for some dumb reason. So we ended up only going on one stinking ride, which cost us over $15....for like a minute and a half ride. What a rip-off! So we tried to get a better attitude and just go on with life without all the adrenalin rushing through our bodies. Decided to go get food and just wander around aimlessly looking at stuff.
A giant cat, mouse and cheese thing... made out of straw?
Ok, I had to give this big ole black bear a hug.
We all got lessons on how to shoot a cross bow. It was great. I think we all did pretty well. I know I got mine in the target thingy.
Here's Kyle...
Ryan's turn..
Ryan's turn..
and DJ...
Some big horses...
cute lemonade stand...
and of course, let's not forget the MONSTER TRUCKS! The whole reason we went to the fair to begin with. We did feel much better when we went to the show because a lady came up to us when we were in line and she gave us 3 tickets! So, that saved us $30.00. I really don't know how anyone can afford to go to the fair though, seriously. Because it costs to get in, then for tickets for rides, then for food and drinks (well, that is ok) and then again for any shows. It was not a cheap date, that's for sure. And I never did get a meal out of it.... just a few snacks.
