Saturday fun

I love Saturday.

So, today we went for a bike ride, and Kyle and I took Ryan to all the cool trails we found.
Let’s see, we saw butterflies, I got stung by a bee, I think we all got scratched up, and we practiced double-fisted berry picking. You can pop at least 2 in your mouth at once that way.

I love doing stuff with my boys. I hope they had a good time too.

Packing up to go home.

We were all so hot we went home and jumped in the pool. That felt great!
Darryl’s brothers, Ken and Paul, came out to visit. This is what they did all day!! lol

Blue Jay the Robot

We went to Picatinny today to check out Ryan's robot, and to see how it would do in the robot race. He didn't win, but that's ok. He had a great week.
It was nice to visit the building where Ryan has been learning about Science & Technology.
Here's Ryan with his robot, Blue Jay.

Here's the whole gang that was there this week.

Our hike

Me and Kyle had a great time today. Decided to go back to the trails that we found and walk through and take some pictures. I’ll tell you, it was so much easier walking those paths than to be bouncing over the rocks with our bikes! Didn’t get scratched up by the thorns either. Lol Photobucket

It was so cool back there. We found a bunch of tree stands in the woods, and a fire pit.

And then right in the middle of one of the fields there is a brightly painted red bench to rest on! It was so funny to see a bench there. I think that path was called "Red Bench Loop."

Ryan's not with us because he's at Picatinny this week learning about Science and Technology and building a robot. We'll be able to see his work on Friday.

Biking through the woods

PhotobucketPhotobucket Kyle and I had a really neat bike ride this morning. We started out as usual with no plan. We went through some developments around the area and then on the way home we discovered some paths in the woods. There was a little sign with a map of the trails, which we didn’t bother reading, but we decided to go for it. It was fantastic. I think our township must’ve made all those paths and we just never knew about them. We rode through fields and deep into the woods. There were signs at all the forks with the names of the different paths. We saw where people had stopped to make a fire (it looked like a great place to camp), and we wondered if we would see any black bears, like the one we had in our yard one time.  There were lots of berries along the path, so we stopped to enjoy them too.  It was a very cool adventure.

Today we biked. Tomorrow we hike! Photobucket

Then, later on, I got a huge surprise! My laptop arrived at my door!  It is very nice.  It will take me a while to put all my stuff on it.

Amish Country

We came to Lancaster for a Ernie Haase concert. Here are some shots of the area.
Buggy rides at the Plain and Fancy restaurant. I couldn't resist this one!

Dorney Park

We had a blast at Dorney! Our favorite roller coaster was the Hydra. Our second favorite was Talon. Here we are getting ready to go on Voodoo. I didn't like it at all. I just survived it. Everybody else was ok with it.
This is one end of Voodoo. Straight up and then twist. Back down backwards!
And Wildwater Kingdom... The water park was a little crowded. Everybody had a great time and we got really tired out. It was a fun day. But not sure I would do some of it over again. A little too scary.
