Without a Cause

John 15:25 But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

Romans 3:23-25 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

by Ryan Vegh

Verse 1:

What reason could there be to hate this humble Son of Man?
What reason could there be to loathe this loving Son of God?
Brought to the slaughter like a spotless lamb
Condemned to amend a wrong He had not caused
Without a cause in Him we were His enemies

Verse 2:

What reason could there be to save these sinful sons of men?
What reason could there be to help these hellish sons of Satan?
To give Your life so we could live again
To let men become like God by God becoming man
Without a cause in us You came to set us free

Chorus:

Without a cause… Without a cause…
Without a cause… at all…

Bridge:

But all because of love, Jesus came and shed His blood
To save the ones who hated love
Then Jesus rose again; the grave couldn’t keep Him in
He proved that He could save those who trust in Him
And now He lives to say, “Come and live again today!
The price has been paid to enter in”

Ending:

Without a cause… Without a cause…
Without a cause… oh…
Without a cause… Without a cause…
Without a cause… but love…

Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009!!

Here are the last photos from Michigan. Some were at Logan's and everybody is munching on peanuts while Mike is doing card tricks. A couple pictures are from when I took the kids to the guitar store and Ryan was trying out a Looper, which was really cool by the way!

Happy New Year, everybody!

A winter walk

We had a big snow storm today so we walked down to the paths where we went over the summer. We wanted to see it all covered with snow. It was hard work walking through there... lots of stickers kept catching us and there was a tree down in the path... and our legs got so tired! We are glad we went, but we won't be making any more trips down there this winter!
Hey Mom, I got my haircut!

Thanksgiving!

We had a really nice Thanksgiving. Last night we enjoyed the Thanksgiving Eve. service at Preakness. It was wonderful to be there with Pastor Karl and his congregation. Ryan sang his song "In All Things." He did a fantastic job. I will post the video as soon as I can....plus a couple videos from Dana's house today (Ryan singing and Kyle yo-yoing).

We met Rick's parents and grandma. We had great time there! My daughter has turned out to be a very good cook! And not only did I not have to cook, but I came home with a doggy-bag! Can't beat that!

Tommee Profitt concert

Well, the day finally came. We had a great time and we were very happy that we went.

Tommee and Angela after the concert. Getting him to sign a t-shirt.
And of course getting pics with him so I can embarrass him on Facebook.

Grace Bible College

We had a great time at Grace Bible College. Got to meet some really great people, and have lunch with them. Tommee Profitt did the worship at chapel, and that was wonderful. Ryan was also able to sing his new song for an audition! We felt so comfortable with the college and with the people there that we left Ryan there to spend the night in the dorm.

Looking forward to Tommee's mini concert on Sunday night.

In All Things

This is the newest song that Ryan is composing. This is the first time we heard it.

In All Things
by Ryan Vegh

Verse 1:

How can this be? What’s this I see?
Here before me lie the pieces of my shattered reality.
My thoughts and plans torn from my hands,
And in their place the unknown menacingly stands.

Pre-Chorus:

Yet Jesus with care held me in my despair.
It was as if He reminded me there…

Chorus:

In all things, I am working for your good.
Nothing could ever separate you from my love.
Though trials and troubles may come,
I am working for your good…
In all things.

Verse 2:

Peacefully I awake upon a new day,
The thoughts of God’s promises carry me on my way.
Yet quickly I see those in Christ who are in need
So I try to come to some to get them to see…

Chorus:

In all things, God is working for their good.
Nothing could ever separate them from His love.
Though trials and troubles may come,
God is working for their good…
In all things.

Bridge:

And in all things we can trust His Holy Word;
Don’t give in to this evil world ‘cause God is faithful
And He is working for your good…
In all things.

Election Day 2008

We voted early (pretty bad when the only 2 people we have to choose from are John McCain and Barak Obama) and then headed to Michigan. We are visiting with Darryl's family for a couple days and then checking out Grace Bible College on Friday, then Tommee Profitt concert on Sunday. My favorite nephews. =)
Ken and Darryl
My favorite boys. =)
It was a great day... nice weather, fun traveling. All was going well until Darryl got sick. :(
