Time with Mom

Late last night we got back from West Virginia.  We visited Mom, and Scott and Flo.  We went to Links Restaurant for dinner.  We took care of the chickens, and 1 baby chick, went for walks, made some meals, walked Main Street, and had lots of interesting conversations!  It was a fun time!

These pictures are in backwards order:

We stopped at the bar in Charleston, WV airport so we could take off the ridiculous masks.  Ugh..

That's Atlanta in the background.  We had to fly all the way to Georgia to get to WV.  So dumb, right?

This is one of the mural's on the side of a building on Main St. in Buckhannon.

City of Buckhannon.

From Charleston, WV

Cool clouds while flying home.

Cool sunset too.

These were cute little gnomes in a shop window on Main St.

Darryl gives Mom a "bye" hug.

This was our fun and delicious dinner at Links Restaurant.  I'm glad Scott and Flo could join us.  BTW, Scott accidently shaved his beard off after 30 years.  haha...His face was red and looked sore, but he had a great attitude.

This was a cool painting hanging by our table.

This is Mom's garden in front of her porch.

Another store front picture...a stack of old musical instrument cases.

Hard to tell here, but the highways were lined with these beautiful pink/purple trees.

We saw a U.S. Air Force plane take off.  It was loud.

Mom and the little plant that Kyle and Hilary gave her last year in the foreground.

Mysterious smoke.

The beautiful stained glass window we picked up for Kyle and Hilary.  They won't be able to get it until they take a road trip to WV this summer.

Sidewalk statue.

Me and Teddy.  I think he'll miss us.

A cool window in a window.

And another.

Interesting formations along the road.

So, we had a fabulous time with Mom, and so glad we got down there to visit FINALLY after more than a year!  Stupid COVID.  It's so dumb that you have to wear a mask on the plane...but only if you're not eating.  If you eat or drink you can take it off.  Funny, if this blasted virus is what they say it is, they wouldn't be serving anything to eat on planes.  I mean, come on...is a person no longer "contagious" if they are eating?!  So freaking idiotic.  Same thing in restaurants.  I guess once you sit down you are no longer at risk.  What a joke.

We're glad to be home, as usual.  But so blessed that we got to spend time with Mom.
