In The Beginning

This is the song I wrote on our way home from Lake Superior last month. I was so overwhelmed by all that God has done, and His marvelous creation, that I had to write a song about it. Knowing that we are not just here randomly, or spinning wildly through limitless space, but instead, God placed us here with a purpose, makes me feel so loved and cared for, and protected. Knowing He is right above us is so comforting.  We are His "magnificent, incredible creation."   It was for us He died.

Revelation 4:11English Standard Version (ESV)

11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”
  • A flat earth requires a Creator, whereas the ball earth relies on the Big Bang, evolution, and billions of years.
  • A flat earth is described in scripture, while a ball earth is a theory of "science," perpetuated by NASA and the Vatican, among others.
  • A flat earth indicates that we are here on purpose, while a crazy spinning ball earth in the middle of 100 billion other galaxies suggests there are other forms of life out there.

But we know the truth, and that is that Jesus Christ died for the sins of man; man that was created in likeness of God.  There are no other life forms out there!  No intelligent life, no aliens, no nothing.  All the living things are contained on this flat earth.  And one day, there will be a new heaven and a new earth to take the place of the old ones.  We will live with God forever on a firm and fixed earth, not getting dizzy in "space."

Revelation 21:1-4English Standard Version (ESV)

The New Heaven and the New Earth

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place[ of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

In the beginning, God had a plan.  He will complete it by His hand.
